Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, known by his stage name as Samini has said the majority of Ghanaians are currently experiencing economic hardship in the country. According to the renowned dancehall artist, stated that, if you asked the ordinary Ghanaian about the economic situation in the country right now, they will tell you this is not favorable.

Recalled that, in the run-up to the 2020 General Elections, Samini and some other well-known celebrities in the country publicly endorsed the incumbent President, His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo. His declaration generated a heated debate on various social media platforms with many Ghanaians accusing the musician of taking money from the NPP.

It is in reaction to this that BullGod, one of the panelists on yesterday’s episode of the United Showbiz show ( December 18), asked Samini if he is happy about the governance of the president he endorsed. According to Samini, his endorsement of Nana Akuffo-Addo was beyond party.

He stressed that it was the policies they promised to implement if they won power that informed his decision to throw his support behind the governing New Patriotic Party. Samini however pointed out that, the is a public outcry from the majority of Ghanaians about unfavorable economic conditions in the country.

“If you put your eyes on the ground, in the Ghana we are in today, the ordinary Ghanaian will tell you that the economic situation of the country is unfavorable, so it not me that you will ask if the promises the president made during his campaign which I support, he ( the president) is implementing them”, Samini said in response to the question asked by BullGod.

Meanwhile, Samini indicated that he has not regretted his decision to publicly endorse the president, since it is what democracy entails. Remember to follow, like, comment, and share for more updates.
