We Didn’t Work Hard Enough For Three Points – Black Stars Winger

Fast rising Black Stars winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says Dreams FC could have raked home all three points against Eleven Wonders if they had worked hard.

The teenage sensation could not register a goal as the “Still Believe” Boys stole a point from the Ohene Ameyaw Park in a 1-1 draw against Eleven Wonders in week seven. Dreams FC took the lead on the 86th minutes through a thundering strike by Samuel Boakye just a few steps away from Wonders goal area. The hosts however left it late to pull parity when Abass Ganiu turned beautifully to slot home with a left foot with 90+ added time played.

Fatawu Issahaku said: “Actually today we couldn’t get what we wanted because it was a draw game. “I think we should have worked harder, like we should have got the three points,” Fatawu Issahaku said. “My coach gave me a task on the field today so I was not trying to make just some shoot. “So that was why I was not getting my target.” Fatawu Issahaku added.

Dreams FC have now collected 11 points from seven matches of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. Their three wins came against Elmina Sharks, Accra Lions and Gold Stars with two defeats to Bechem United and Asante Kotoko plus two draws to Great Olympics and Eleven Wonders. Their week eight game will be against Karela United at the Dawu Park later on Wednesday, December 15.
