The Region has 11 Constituencies Namely Wa Central, Wa East, Wa West, Nadowli-Kaleo, Jirapa, Lawra, Nandom, Sissala East, Sissala West and Dafiama-Busis-Issa.

The Region has one TV Station called Tumpaani TV, it has 7 Nursing Training Colleges, one in Wa, Two in Nandom, one in Lawra, One in Tumu, Two in Jirapa. It also has 4 Teacher Training Colleges, 1 in Wa, 1 in Nadowli, one in Tumu and One in Manwe in the Wa East District.
