The Supreme Court of Ghana has finally ruled over the case involving Savior Church of Ghana and Opanin Kwaku Abraham Adusei who was a prominent member in former President John Dramani Mahama’s Administration. During John Dramani Mahama’s era as President, Opanin Kwaku Abraham Adusei was an elected Council of state member. He was part of those that advised the President.

The case which has lasted for the past 24 years sought to restrain Opanin Kwaku Abraham Adusei from carrying himself as a leader of the Savior Church of Ghana or performing any duty of the church.

This action was sent to the Supreme Court for determination after the death of Isaac Asirifi Asante who headed the church.

In a 3-2 ruling among the Supreme Court Judges, they saw the claims of the plaintiff as unreliable to restrain Opanin Kwaku Abraham Adusei. They declared him as legitimate leader of the Savior Church.

More to follow soon.
