A 30 years old lady have been killed by her boyfriend after the boyfriend set fire to her room. The deceased, Agnes Kissiwaa is a resident of Nkawkaw – Krofrom in the Eastern. He brought his boyfriend, Foster Orgona in as someone she wanted to settle with but her family disagreed.
According to her big sister, Akua Adomaa, the family did not accept the relationship with the boyfriend because they found out that Foster was already married. The family ordered Agnes to stop that relationship and this resulted in various fights and quarrels between the family and Foster.
Akua Adomaa continued by saying that Foster one time threatened some family members with a cutlass to leave him and his girlfriend alone. After a while, Agnes finally left Foster and out of anger, he went to set fire into the house where Agnes lived at about 1 midnight.
Neighbours came to the rescue but Agnes was badly hurt. She was taken to the hospital in Nkawkaw and later transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where she passed on.
They got to know it was Foster who killed their sister after one of Foster’s friends notified the family that Foster once told him that he would kill Agnes if she leaves him. The suspect is on the run and the Police are on the lookout for him.
