Massive reactions and comments coming are in from a JoyNews survey to ascertain the current stand of Ghanaians concerning their choice in the December 7, 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections, that is to know if their choice still remains unchanged or has altered after exactly one year after voting.

However, the comments coming from socialites are becoming increasingly interesting and apparent that we can say that, arguably eighty percent (80%) of the over 1,500 respondents have regretted voting for the incumbent president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and what they describe as ‘his incompetent’ members of Parliament.

In sharp contrast with the above statement of facts, about 70 percent of the over 1,500 comments that have followed the post so far have said that they voted John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and his respective MPs in the general elections and one year on, they are willing to for them again and again and again.

Some of the reasons attached to the above all-new decisions by these Ghanaians indicate that the current economic hardship that has bedevilled the good people of Ghana is a testament of the fact that those in government are bunch of conmen who threw dust in the eyes of the public by promising heaven and earth just to win votes.

On the other hand, the 20 percent that have said that their choice hasn’t changed for voting Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are saying that he is the best compared to all the other providential candidates who contested in the elections. His achievements over the past five years have been massive and unprecedented and that they would vote him and the NPP as long as they live.

The 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections was held on December 7 and the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Jean Mensa, declared Nana Akufo-Addo as the winning of the elections in a somewhat controversial circumstances. The result was contested in the Supreme Court by the NDC but the outcome was not instrumental as expected.
