Kuami Eugene has opened up about the reason he chose to name his album, the ‘Son Of Africa’.

According to him, he wants to be for the whole of Africa and he does not want to belong to a particular group or movement in Ghana as some artists are defined by some scope with a particular group of people.

Kuami opined that is better to be known by the African continent than to be known by only Ghanaians. He made his disclosure in chat on Adom Tv.

He said: ” I don’t say I’m the best of a king, all I do is to do the work well. That is one thing i was working on that i won’t just be a lover of a few people because there could be a situation that one side of the people like me and the other side does not. I wanted to position myself as the son of the people. It shouldn’t be that Kwame is with this movement or this movement or this nation. What i work for is to be the son of the people, that is why I did the son of Africa.”

Meanwhile, Captain Planet has showered encomium on his colleague musician, Kuami Eugene for his altruism.

According to Captain Planet, Kuami Eugene is a very selfless artiste who thinks about the welfare of his colleague musicians. Captain Planet went on to add that Kuami Eugene refused to take the 75% revenue of their Abode3 song even though the latter carried out most of the production work.

In his words: ” For his production works, Kuami Eugene was supposed to take 50% of the total revenue of the song, 25% for his lyrics on it but he declined and offered for us to split the revenue equally.”

He is a much-talented artist who really knows what he is about and delivers on that. He is our biggest thing here and i know he will go far. You just can’t stop him because he really knows what he is doing.” he added.
