Ghanaian artiste Lord Paper has intimated that he sees nothing wrong with people who identify as gays, lesbians or bisexuals.

According to him, a person’s decision to alter his or her sexual orientation should not be big deal to anyone as far they are okay with it.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on the back of the brouhaha surrounding the Anti-LGBTQ Bill before parliament, Lord Paper said, although he has gay friends, he is not one. And as far as he was concerned, the sexuality of others was not his concern.

“I’m not concerned with someone’s sexual orientation. I can’t tell anyone how they should act in their sexual lives. It doesn’t bother me much.

“It is acceptable to be gay or lesbian. It doesn’t bother me if they (Parliamentarians) agree that we should practice it. Even though I do not have the right to choose someone’s sexual orientation, I have gay friends,” he said.

Meanwhile, parliament is looking forward to [assign the Anti-LGBTQ Bill which criminalizes the activity in Ghana. Although some people have questioned some of the content of the bill, Sam George and other like-minded MPs are poised to see it passed.
