I Don’t Steal Songs – Kuami Eugene Debunks Rumors

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian recording and performing artiste, Kuami Eugene has debunked rumors that he steals songs from other people.

The highlife and Afropop artiste Kuami Eugene has been accused several times of stealing songs from other artists without giving them any credits.

Kuami Eugene made this disclosure while responding to Citi FM’s Kwame Dadzie’s questions during a special listening session for his upcoming EP titled Afro-highlife. According to the artist, his management team does not take copyright violations lightly. He said the right owners of every piece duly are acknowledged to avoid any future issues.

He explained further that his record label Lynx entertainment has gone through the necessary processes to obtain rights to produce his current song titled “Tena Fie” on his current project.

Kuami Eugene has been accused several times of stealing songs from artists. A Nigerian artist identified as Ottomi Patrick Akhere also known as Oduma Essan sued the highlife artiste Kuami Eugene for allegedly stealing his songs.

The Nigerian artist dragged Kuami Eugene to the Accra High Court for stealing his song. The artist accused Kuami Eugene of stealing the concept and elements of his single “Show Body” in July 2020″.
