In a bid to ensure that patients who visit the Amasaman government hospital receive the best of health care, the Ga West Municipal Chief Executive, Clement Wilkinson, and his counterparts from the United States of America on Friday, September 24, 2021, donated some medical supplies to the hospital management.

Speaking to Citi News after the exercise, Mr. Wilkinson noted that the items given to the hospital will support the staff in their operations.

“Getting items worth over US$100,000 to the hospital was fantastic. It is a group from the US which I was part of before I relocated to Ghana. This gesture from them is an annual thing to support health centres within the country. The medical supplies I believe will support the Amasaman government hospital immensely.”

Clement Wilkinson further called on organizations within the municipality to emulate this gesture and support the Amasaman Government Hospital.

“I will urge all companies, organizations within the Ga West Municipality to support the hospital. They should fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), which will go a long way to build a good relationship between the various companies, residents and the assembly.”

“CSR is mostly not practised by some organizations in the municipality. We have to write to them before they do it, and this doesn’t auger well. I call on the various institutes to support schools in the municipality, some schools need furniture, toiletries amongst others”.
