Sept. 25 (UPI) — Netflix announced Saturday it has renewed its fantasy drama, The Witcher, for a third season.
“Toss a coin to our growing Witcher universe! We can officially announce The Witcher Season 3, along with a second anime feature film, and a new Kids and Family series set in the world of The Witcher,” the show’s Twitter account said.
The Witcher Season 2 is to debut Dec. 17. The streaming service released two minute-long clips and a 3-minute trailer Saturday, as well.
Based on the book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, the show stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Mimî M Khayisa, Paul Bullion, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra.
