Chief Executive of the Databank, Kojo Addae-Mensah, has questioned the loud silence of the Ghana Football Association on the situation with Black Stars c coach Charles Akonnor.

Akonnor has come under increasing fire more recently after the senior national football team churned out unimpressive performances and results.

Ghana has had an average start to the qualifying campaign for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars could only beat Ethiopia by an odd goal at home while suffering a disappointing loss away to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

With 3 points from 2 games and not really dominating in the games he has taken charge of, Ghanaians are becoming to question the competence of coach Charles Akonnor.

Some local football fans are even calling for his head as they believe Akonnor lacks the needed qualities to deliver as Black Stars Coach.

In all this, Kojo Addae-Mensah believes the silence of the Ghana Football Association is not helping matters.

In an interview with Asempa FM, he said “with all that is going on why is the GFA silent. Their silence is not helping.”

“It is either you sack the Coach or your back him. Of course, sacking him won’t be News because he won’t be the first coach to lose his job. When you keep quiet amid the expression of frustrations it doesn’t help. The GFA must declare their position,” he concluded.
