‘Black Stars useless without Asamoah Gyan’

Some supporters of the Ghana national team have shared their dismay on social media about the Black Stars’ performance in the match against Ethiopia on Friday, September 3, 2021.

Although Ghana won 1-0 against Ethiopia in their 2022 World Cup opener, their fans weren’t impressed with their performance in the Group G match at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The hosts won narrowly in Cape Coast thanks to Mubarak Wakso’s goal in the first half of their qualifiers for the global showpiece.

The World Cup quarter-finalists for 2010 played without Thomas Partey from Arsenal and Mohammed Kudus from Ajax on the day.

The matchday two-away game against South Africa is on Monday and Ghanaians are clearly concerned by their team’s poor performance against Ethiopia.
