England-born teenager of Ghanaian descent, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has been handed his maiden international call-up to play for the England U-20 team.

The winger in the past year has developed his game significantly and has the backing of his manager at Crystal Palace, Patrick Vieira.

Although early into the 2021/2022 football season, he has already had a taste of the English Premier League.

In August, he was in action for the Eagles as a substitute when they lost to Chelsea. In the minutes he played, he made a good account of himself and receive praise from his manager.

For the progress he has enjoyed, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has now been handed his maiden international call-up to play for the England U-20 team.

The young Lions are set to take on their counterparts from Romania at St George’s Park next week.

Once he starts playing for England, the possibility of Ghana convincing him to switch allegiance and play for the Black Stars in the future will slim down.

He will as a result join a long list of Ghanaian players abroad that will decide to play for other countries.
