Yvonne Nelson has always been passionate about music and it’s very obvious if she has not ended up as an actress and filmmaker, she would have literally been burning the microphone by now.
In a new video first captured by celebrity blogger Kobby Kyie and shared by the GhanaWeekend, Yvonne Nelson pleaded with Ghanaian musicians to break the monotony associated with the theme and subject matter of their songs.
She made this known during an essay competition she held for her school a few days ago. In her opinion, the sex, money, and lifestyle that dominate music in contemporary times should make way for educational songs targeted at kids.
The beautiful Ghanaian actress and proud mother of Baby Ryn highlighted the situation by saying that she found it very difficult to get songs that suit the occasion. She also dropped some freestyle sessions as she rapped ‘I Can’ from American rapper Nas which was being played in the background.

The actress was in the news recently when she told her legions of fans that Shatta Wale’s hit song ‘Everybody Like My Thing’ produced in 2013 is one of her favourite songs from 1Don.
The pretty Ghanaian actress and filmmaker made this known while engaging her fans on Twitter in a question and answer session. One SM fan popped up amongst the many questionnaires to ask her which song from Wale’s catalogue does she love most.
Without hesitating, Yvonne said, ‘Everybody Like My Thing’ is her prefered choice especially with the part that paid homage to her beauty, where Shatta Wale sang, ‘Me love pretty gyals like Yvonne Nelson.’
