Ghanaian actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson has gifted three brilliant girls a whooping sum of GHc 40,000 as a reward for winning her competition.
Yvonne Nelson recently organized an essay competition for children between the ages of 10 to 16 years. Apparently, three of the children emerged winners in the essay competition organized by the actress.

The essay competition was organized by Yvonne Nelson as part of the 10th-anniversary celebration of the actress’ Glaucoma Foundation. Yvonne Nelson founded the ‘Yvonne Nelson Glaucoma Foundation in 2010 to help create awareness about the disease.
The foundation launched the essay competition in the month of July and the competition is to further raise awareness and convey Yvonne Nelson’s message about glaucoma across Ghana via students. The competition was opened to children who wrote on the topic “Glaucoma, the silent blinding disease”.
The three brilliant students received cash prizes, gift vouchers, and other items from sponsors of the competition. The winner received GH5,000, the 1st and second runner-up received GH3,000 and GH2000 respectively.

The winners also took home GH15,000, GH10,000, and GH5,000 shopping vouchers from Casa Trasacco and other goodies from other sponsors of the competition.
