Coalition of La Association has expressed their displeasure on some unsavoury statement made by Ghana-American based Journalist, Kevin Ekow Taylor on the attack on Dr Nii Nsiah McKorley.

Their displeasure comes after Mr Kevin Taylor recently released some attacks on their chiefs with insulting language on his social media programme, “With All Due Respect”.

They described it as unfortunate and with that, they’re extremely unhappy about the development.

They warned Kevin Taylor for his unsavoury statement to MCDan because his (McDan) philanthropic works are unmatched as he has made it a priority to bridge the gap between the well to do and the less privileged and vulnerable in the society.

“It is evident in his (McDan) frequent donation to all widows of our land. Should such a great personality be rewarded with insults by a half-baked, self-styled journalist? Of course not”, they warned Kevin Taylor

“It stands to suggest therefore that, Mr Taylor has touched the wrong child and should he continue on his path, would face the wrath of the people of La, the Gadangme youth and the majority of young men and women of this nation who look up to this great philanthropist of our time”

According to the group and people of the area, Electrochem Gh Ltd, owned by Daniel Mckorley alias McDan, a renowned businessman in Accra, “used his leadership skills to solve and age conflict amongst the Chieftaincy gates of Ada over a period of time”

In a press statement released to the media today, 1st September 2021, they indicated that since the three mining leases have been granted Electrochem Gh. Ltd. over the Songor Lagoon for 15 years, majority of the youth who hitherto are living idle, have been employed and are earning meaningful wages.

They also indicated that the “vast majority of the Ada people have endorsed Dr Daniel McKorley’s Electrochem Ltd as the operator they want to work with, and it is therefore surprising to them when they heard that Mr Kevin Taylor without any proper checks would engage in this act which seeks to mar the good journalistic practices they have seen in the country”

Checks conducted at the project site, also revealed that over 1000 residents, mostly youth, have already been employed by the company to undertake various activities for the smooth implementation of the project, whilst some applications are still pending for employment.
