‘The Expendables 4’ to feature Sylvester Stallone, 50 Cent, Megan Fox

Aug. 30 (UPI) — The Expendables 4 is in the works at Lionsgate and Millennium Media.

Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture will return for the fourth installment in the action thriller franchise, Deadline confirmed Monday.

In addition, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox and Tony Jaa have joined the new film.

The Expendables 4 is written by Spenser Cohen and directed by Scott Waugh. The project will begin production in the fall.

Lionsgate will release the film in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Hollywood Reporter said the new movie will center on Lee Christmas (Statham). Fox will play the female lead.

The original Expendables opened in theaters in 2010 and was followed by The Expendables 2 (2012) and The Expendables 3 (2014). The film series follows a group of elite mercenaries.

Jackson recently starred on the Starz series Power and had a recurring role on For Life. Fox most recently starred in the horror action film Till Death.
