Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has been invited as a special guest to the UEFA Champions League Draw.
Michael Essien is invited alongside former teammates Branislav Ivanovic for the group stage draw for the 2021/2022 Champions League on Thursday, September 26, 2021.
Michael Essien is a winner of the Champions League in 2012 and is currently the assistant coach of Danish-side FC Nordsjælland. The Black Stars midfielder played for Olympique Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan.
26 teams will partake in the 2021/2022 Champions League Draw with three others joining after winning the playoffs.
