Popular Kumawood Actor Buried In a Strange Coffin (Photo)

Veteran Kumawood actor, Samuel Manu better known as Agya Manu has been given a befitting burial with his status as a creator and movie enthusiast.

Recall the actor passed away on July 15, 2021, after battling with a brief illness at the age of 50. He was survived by five children and grandchildren.

Agya Manu appeared in a number of Kumawood films and series before his death, including the recently concluded ‘Borga Akwaaba’ TV series, which was created by comedic actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win.

He also had an appearance in Lil Win’s most recent TV show, “Police Academy,” which is now running on UTV.

His burial and the final funeral rite were organized at the Accra arts center on Saturday, August 21. His colleagues in the movie industry paid their final respects to his memory as they thronged the venue to mourn him. Notable among the actors were Christiana Awuni, Agya Koo, Bill Asamoah, Lilwin, Oboy Siki, Sumsum, Auntie B, Akyere Bruwaa, Matilda Asare among others.

The late Agya Manu was buried with a casket designed like a canon digital camera to give a depiction of how the veteran actor lived up his life for the movie space.
