Aug. 19 (UPI) — The upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy video game from Marvel and publisher Square Enix will feature hit tracks from the 1980s and a fictional Star-Lord band that inspires team leader Peter Quill to take up the name.

Steve Szczepkowski, the senior audio director for the title at developer Eidos-MontrĂ©al, detailed the game’s music in a new video released on Thursday.

Guardians of the Galaxy will include songs from Kiss, Joan Jett, Iron Maiden, New Kids on the Block, Rick Astley and more.

Players, who take on the role of Star-Lord/Peter Quill, can call a team huddle during combat that will summon Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot. Star-Lord will then play a song from his Walkman that gives the group advantages during battle.

Szczepkowski is the voice behind the game’s Star-Lord band, which was Peter Quill’s favorite band growing up and led to him taking up the name. Szczepkowski recorded an album’s worth of original music for the fictional band that will also appear in the game.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be released for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on Oct. 26.
