In Ghana, there are nine young men who call themselves the Asakaa Boys, namely: O’Kenneth, Jay Bahd, Kawabanga, Cedi City Boy, Reggie, Kwaku DMC, Sean Lifer, Rabby Jones, and Braa Benk.

They’ve been hard at work, writing music to drill beats. These rappers have been in the rap game for over three years, but say their music was “never really taken seriously” until last year, 2020.

They made it their mission to ensure that their social media presence was enough to reach their fans at a time when a global pandemic kept them even further away.

Besides, there is a certain Yaw Tog who has benefitted immensely from the Kumerican drill considering his mega collaboration with Stormzy. Y’all know how Yaw Tog hit a million views on YouTube in 3 days.

Amidst the Kumerican wave that Sarkodie dropped his sixth studio album christened “No Pressure”. And in the best knowledge of Nana Frimpong Ziega in the studio of Kumasi-based Angel Fm, “Sarkodie named his album “No Pressure” because of heat and the pressure from Yaw Tog and Asakaa Boys”.

According to highly opinionated Ziega, Sarkodie titled his album “No Pressure” to send a message out there that he is not perturbed by the pressure and heat from the Asakaaa Boys, Kumerican Drill and Yaw Tog.
