Ghanaian songwriter cum singer Minister OJ, known in real life as Micheal Oware Sakyi has revealed that he gets a few collaborations with other artistes because they “fear from afar” as he outsmart others with his style of music which is full of life experience.

He explained that the way he writes his songs seems other artistes don’t like the style as his music is not fused with too much gospel but it’s more about reality and real-life experience so if you’re an artiste and your strength doesn’t match his then you might be exposed.

OJ said made this known in an interview on Hammer time with Hammer Nti on Kumasi-based Pure FM when he was asked why he doesn’t have collaborated with another gospel musician.

He expressed that he hardly receives requests from his colleague musicians for collaborations.

He said, “I hardly receive requests for collaboration because if you bring the song, I will also write my own and when I do that there is the likelihood that mine will be better than theirs and that will create trouble”.

He added that “Some fear from afar but I think I have had few features with Nancee, Joe Mettle, and Emillia Arthur”
