These four Ghanaians are Pro athletes who for one reason or the other have decided to represent other countries at the Tokyo Olympics.
Various reasons accounted for their decision not to compete for Ghana. Some of these reasons include birth (perhaps the individual was born in that country), parental connection (perhaps the individual has or had a parent from the country, naturalization ( perhaps the individual decided to compete or the country by becoming a citizen) or any other reason.
The names embedded on their Olympics paraphernalia clearly reveal that they are Ghanaians who are competing and flying the flags of other nations.
Ghanaian representation at the Olympics in Tokyo is minimal with only 14 competing athletes. Their performance at the competition is nothing to write home about.
How can Ghana have all these athletes out there who have no motivation to representing the Red, Gold and Green at the highest level? They may have their reasons or perhaps they do not even know they are Ghanaians.
