Sony Publishing was formed as Sony/ATV in 1995 with the merger of the original incarnation of Sony Publishing and ATV , which was owned by entertainer Michael Jackson.
Already, Sarkodie has a partnership deal with CEEK VR – Virtual Reality and an online streaming platform that markets his songs.
Sarkodie joining Sony is a big win for the rapper since notable artists that have been signed onto the same platform include: Davido, Zayn Malik, R Kelly, Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Beyonce, ASAP Rocky, Shakira etc.
The new deal clearly explains how and why Sarkodie featured UK rapper Giggs on his “: No Pressure:” album and the numerous projects he has in the pipeline with top global artistes.
