Host of Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM, Samuel Atuobi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex says radio presenters in the Greater Accra region are not better than radio presenters in the Eastern.
Sammy Flex made this known in an interview with Koforidua based ABEN 94.9 FM’s Kumi Kasa and Jah Solo on the ‘Entertainment Friday’ show.
He said, “When given equal opportunity, presenters in Accra are not better than those in other regions, we have presenters in other regions who does better than radio presenters in Accra”
According to Sammy Flex, “Radio is about numbers. To be the best means you must have the numbers listening to you and we have a lot of radio stations outside Accra with more listeners than some radio stations in Accra.
He however added that the only problem most shows in the Eastern region faced is lack of analytical punditry. “People listen to shows in Accra because of pundits on the shows, critical submissions and good analysis from pundits is what is holding most of the shows in Accra, therefore, I will urge the various hosts in Eastern region to get good pundits on their platforms.
Sammy Flex advised owners of radio stations that “modern logistics must be put in place and if workers are indeed relevant, there should be the provision of allowances and accommodation to make their lives contented so that they will not move to Accra.
Sammy Flex finally advised radio personalities in the Region to read and do more research.
