Accra, May 21, GNA – The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, has reinstated Mrs Gertrude Quashigah as the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme.
This was in a letter signed by the Gender and Social Protection Minister, Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo, on Friday, May 21.
The Minister withdrew an earlier letter terminating the appointment of Mrs Quashigah and described the act as an “administrative error.”
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, the Ministry terminated the appointment of Mrs Quashigah in a letter addressed to her.
“This is to inform you of the termination of your appointment as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme. You will be paid one month’s salary in lieu of notice as stipulated in your contract agreement,” the letter stated.
It further directed Mrs Quashigah to hand over to the Chief Director of the Gender Ministry with no reason assigned.
