Hon Samuel Nartey George of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that our own troubled Shatta Wale should be praised for bringing life to Ghana’s music industry.

Speaking with Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr FM, the honorable minister said that Shatta Wale who is dubbed “African dancehall” King is the local music industry’s messiah.

According to him, Shatta Wale has brought something to his brand that has appealed to a certain group of music fans in the world, with some claiming that Nigerian music would have taken over the industry by now if it weren’t for the Shatta Movement Boss.

In his own words, Hon. Sam George said;

What Shatta has also done for the Ghanaian music industry is that he has created a certain movement; so, it is now the 1 Don, 1 Gad etc. Shatta is a trail brazier.

Shatta’s career was effectively dead. Shatta is like the Faiza of music in Ghana, Faiza raises dead male organs with Viagra; Shatta resurrected the Ghanaian music.

When the guy was Bandana, we thought his career was dead, he had a beef with Samini and Samini ‘murdered’ him and the guy disappeared and then the next thing we see is the resurrection.
