US-bassed Ghanaian Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has stated that no musician deserves the most coveted Ghana award than Diana Antwi Hamilton.

According to Sonnie Badu, Daina Hamilton deserves to win the Vodafone Ghana Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year 2021.
In an exclusive interview with MzGee, Sonnie stated that he thinks Diana Hamilton should be the first female artist (second female though) to win the category because she has good music and deserves the award.
“This year I think Diana Hamilton should win VGMA Artiste of the Year. I think she has worked very hard and she deserves to win. It will also make her the first female artist to win Artiste of the year,” he said.
He added that her song Adom has competed with a lot of songs and she deserves that spot.
“Diana’s song Adom has competed with every song, both gospel and secular.”
Diana Hamilton has been nominated together with KiDi, Medikal, Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene for the Artiste of the Year category in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Awards.
