The struggle for number 1 amongst artistes in the industry is getting real, as everyone has adopted the trend to add 1 to their signature names.
Dancehall act Shatta Wale has however, issued a strong warning to anyone following the trend to give him credit as the originator.
According to the Already hit singer, he and his label are the initiators of everything regarding the music industry, and his colleague artistes just copy in his shadow to gain recognition.
This follows Stonebwoy’s statements and public claims that he is 1Gad, and even released a song with the tittle name shortly after Shatta released his hit song 1Don.
Other artistes like Samini and Captain Planet have now hopped on the trend, outdooring their new names like 1King and 1Boss respectively.
The self acclaimed Dancehall King said he has no problem with all that is unfolding, but he deserves to be credited for igniting the trend. He said;
“I have always said that, SM got the blueprint for the music industry, dem keep copying wanna style, to all those artistes trying to identify themselves with 1 this 1 that, don’t forget to give credit to the originator, carbon papers!!”
