Luanda — Romania’s president Traian Basecu Monday, in Bucharest, accredited Angolan extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the European country, Toko Diakenga Serao.
The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace, Cotroceni, where Toko Serao handed his credentials to the Romanian leader.
A communiqué released by the Angolan embassy to Serbia, where Toko Serao is also an ambassador with fixed residence in Belgrade, reads that the move contributes to strengthening the historic ties of friendship and solidarity, creating favourable conditions for the consolidation of cooperation relations between the two countries.
“Romania is an important partner of the Angolan Executive in the training and regular academic specializing in the oil sector and to other nationals by granting scholarships, as well as other cooperation programmes being carried out on the basis of the agreement started in March 2008 “- highlights the note.
