Garbaharey — The moderate Sufi group of Ahlu Sunna Waljama ASWJ have seized a number of people linked to Al shabaaab group after security crackdown in southern Somalia town.
Officials said that a large number of Ahlu Sunna fighters made the security operation after Al shabaab fighters attacked the town of Garbaharey in Gedo region in southern Somalia.
In an interview with Shabelle Media Network, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, the spokesman of Ahlu Sunna Waljama in Gedo region said that they had detained some 7 people during the operations.
He said that they will release anyone acquitted of having links with what he called the militants of Al shabaab.
