Mogadishu — Some of Somali parliamentarians on Tuesday accused Hawiye traditional elders of working how to destroy the transitional federal government of Somalia.
Talking to the journalists in the Somali capital Mogadishu, Abdurrahman Kulmiye Hirsi said that elders are not needed to be involved in the political crisis in the country.
He said that they have already failed after sating that Al shabaab will meet their demands if the government managed to pull Ethiopian forces from the country.
For his part, Abdullahi Sheikh Hassan, the chairman of Peace and Democratic Party spelled out that all Somali parliamentarians are in favor of holding the presidential and parliamentary elections in August, this year.
