El Dher — At least toddlers died of malnutrition and hanger in the drought affected central Somalia region of Galgdud.
Local residents told Shabelle that region is enduring a severe drought as a number of kinds of domestic animals died of thirst and hunger.
The deaths of the kids were reported from the town of El Dher as there are many kids are suffering from the same condition.
Aid agencies can not reach the town as it is under Al shabaab movement control.
Al shabaab has already banned more than 20 relief agencies from operating in Somalia, a country hit by severe drought with protracted conflict and civil war.
