Luanda — The statutes of the Angola Olympic Committee (COA) met with light changes following the the organ’s ordinary general assembly held in Luanda, Angop learned.
COA chairman, Gustavo da Conceição, chired the meeting that had a strong participation of members that met substantial consensus.
Of the changes introduced to the statutes, stress goês to its article 7 concerning purposes that were not in the previous document and focuses on the promotion of the Olympic Movement and celebration of the Olympic day and week with events that promote the culture and arts in sports, including the participation in programmes of solidarity of the International Olympic Committee.
Another changes has to do with the compulsory monthly payment of a contribution by COA member countries.
The latest changes to the document that governs the olympic activity in Angola was done in 2005.
