Luanda — Angola's national female football team were eliminated from the race to the Pan-African Games, after losing 0-2 this Sunday to Zimbabwe, in Harare, in a second-round encounter. In the first-round match, in Angola's Lunda Norte Province, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Kuito — The first secretary of the ruling MPLA party in the central Bié province, Álvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto, on Friday said that the creation of a teaching facility in action committees will encourage militants to attend literacy lessons.

Boavida Neto, who was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the head offices of the “28 de Junho” action committee, in the provincial capital (Kuito), which will also serve for teaching literacy lessons, said that the creation of venues in action committees will increase the academic level of the militants.

He added that the increase of the academic level of the militants will create a sound and interactive conscience, capable of understanding the main problems of the communities.

He appealed to militants, sympathisers and friends of MPLA of the “28 de Junho” action committee, with the training demanded by the Ministry of Education, to assist the party by giving lessons at the action committees and in other selected places.
