According to the latest injury report, James has been officially ruled out of Monday night’s game due to ‘left ankle soreness’.
It marks his first absence since Jan. 9. In that span, he has averaged 34.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists on 49.6 percent shooting and 36.0 percent from the 3-point line in 37.7 minutes a night.
His absence appears to be precautionary/load management after playing 44 minutes against the Celtics, with the Lakers suiting up the following night against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
