ONE Championship icon Aung La N Sang scored his second straight first-round knockout at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
‘The Burmese Python’ delivered a showstopping performance in front of a roaring crowd at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. Aung La smashed returning Brazilian veteran Gilberto Galvao in less than 90 seconds as he continued his path back to a ONE world title opportunity.

After dropping three out of four and losing the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world championships, Aung La N Sang has bounced back in a big way with wins over Japanese MMA star Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami and the aforementioned Galvao.
Eager to get an opportunity to reclaim the ONE middleweight title, ‘The Burmese Python’ has been putting in work to evolve, even as he closes in on the final years of his storied career.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Aung La N Sang stated that he believes 2023 will be the year he once again straps 26.4 pounds of ONE Championship gold around his waist:
“2023 is going to be an exciting one… I feel good, I feel strong. I’m ready to climb my way back to the top. And I promise you I’m going to get back what’s mine.”

‘The Burmese Python’ believes any man can be beaten on any given night. He hopes to prove that later this year in a long-sought-out trilogy bout with reigning ONE middleweight world champion Reinier de Ridder.
‘The Dutch Knight’ holds back-to-back wins over Aung La N Sang, but the Myanmar superstar is ready to prove that he can finish the Dutchman and reclaim his crown:
“Everyone is beatable, everyone is beatable. It’s just that in MMA, you don’t have enough fights, you know? You have a hundred fights, I guarantee you’re not gonna win all of them. The Thai guys have like 300 fights, everybody has, there’s always ways to beat somebody on a certain night.”
Previously undefeated, Reinier de Ridder looked human for the first time in his career at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December. ‘The Dutch Knight’ suffered the first loss of his career against Russian juggernaut Anatoly Malykhin. De Ridder lost the ONE light heavyweight title in the process but is still clinging to the ONE middleweight world championship.
