Vanderbilt University is going to play the ITA Kickoff Weekend

Vanderbilt Unversity women’s tennis team is going to play the ITA Kickoff Weekend. As reported by the Vanderbilt University website, Vandy will compete against Furman on Saturday in Raleigh, North Carolina. On Sunday, the women’s team will face off against either NC State or Illinois for the opportunity to play in the 2023 ITA National Team Indoors Championships.

Commodores won their first dual match of the spring season, defeating Northwestern 5-2 on Jan. 22. Vandy will host Louisville for the spring home opener at 3 p.m. on Feb. Also as reported by Vanderbilt website, no. 35 Bridget Stammel continued to impress with her pair of singles victories on Jan.

22 against Northwestern’s No. 54 Christina Hand. The dual match also saw the No. 55-ranked duo of Anessa Lee and Celia-Belle Mohr extend their doubles team winning streak to six, helping the Dores earn the doubles point against Northwestern.
