Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all competing to seal major signings as the January transfer deadline approaches fast. Arsenal have already moved for Leandro Trossard after missing out on top target Mykhailo Mudryk and are about to sign Jakub Kiwior, while they are also said to be in talks over LaLiga duo Martin Zubimendi and Ivan Fresneda.

Declan Rice is also believed to be favouring the Gunners over Manchester United and Chelsea, who are plotting a new bid for Moises Caicedo after seeing an initial £55million offer rejected by Brighton. With Mudryk and Noni Madueke now in at Stamford Bridge, the Blues could offload the likes of Hakim Ziyech before the end of the window.

Kane open to new Tottenham contract

Some breaking news to offer a much-needed boost for Tottenham fans now.

Harry Kane is open to signing a new deal with the club, according to fresh reports on Monday morning.

The links between the England captain and Manchester United made back-page headlines again at the weekend, but The Athletic’s David Ornstein now claims that he’s willing to stay with new contract talks planned this month.

There have been no negotiations between Spurs and Kane since the summer of 2021, but he is said to be focused on succeeding in north London and could extend his stay beyond 2024.

Tottenham eye Gil for Zaniolo swap deal

Tottenham are chasing a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo at Roma.

The Italy international looks destined to move on this month after talks over a new contract broke down and he was booed by his own supporters.

However, Roma are said to want to sell Zaniolo for around £30m rather than agree a loan exit with an option to buy in the summer, which is what Tottenham want to do.

Jose Mourinho confirmed last night that the player had asked to leave the club, though insisted the current proposals on the table were not good enough.

Football Insider report that Spurs are willing to offer one of three players in part-exchange for Zaniolo, with Bryan Gil said to be on the table.

Chelsea plotting new Caicedo bid

Chelsea do not seem to be giving up the fight over Moises Caicedo.

The big-spending Blues have made the Ecuador midfielder their top transfer priority this month following the arrivals of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana.

Chelsea already saw an initial bid for Caicedo worth around £55m snubbed by Brighton last week.

However, the Daily Mail claim that they are pondering another offer as they view him as an ideal long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante.

Rice favouring Arsenal move over Chelsea

There is good news for Arsenal regarding Declan Rice.

It emerged last week that the Gunners were set to make a major push to beat Chelsea and Manchester United to the signing of the West Ham midfielder in the summer.

Stamford Bridge had always been considered the most likely next destination for Rice, who was released by the Blues at 14 and remains best friends with England team-mate Mason Mount.

However, The Guardian report that the player is now leaning towards joining Arsenal due to the prospect of playing for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal in Zubimendi talks

Arsenal have identified Martin Zubimendi as their next major transfer target, reports suggest.

After moving for forward Leandro Trossard last week and with defender Jakub Kiwior on the way from Spezia, Mikel Arteta now wants reinforcements in midfield to solidify the Gunners’ incredible Premier League title push.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are in talks with Real Sociedad over a swoop for the highly-rated Zubimendi, who has a £52.5million release clause in his contract.

However, they face a fight to convince the 23-year-old Spaniard as he apparently looks reluctant to leave Anoeta this month while they sit third in LaLiga.

Barcelona and Manchester United have also been linked with Zubimendi, who resisted the chance to up his release clause to £79m.
