Tallon Griekspoor captured his first ATP Tour title on Saturday in Pune, India, defeating Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
In a match that lasted two hours and 17 minutes, Griekspoor struck 17 aces, won 79 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on three occasions.
Never playing his opponent on Tour, Griekspoor will be ranked No. 61 in the world on Monday.
Bonzi, who was also playing his first career final, defeated No. 2 seed Botic van de Zandschulp and No. 6 seed Filip Krajinovic earlier in the event. He will be ranked No. 50 on Monday.
