Switzerland only qualified for the knockouts after coming from behind to defeat Serbia on Friday night.
They are on an even longer wait for a World Cup quarter-final berth – their last appearance came in 1958.
Date, kick-off time and venue Portugal vs Switzerland is scheduled for a 7pm GMT kick-off on Tuesday December 6, 2022.
The match will take place at Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar.
