Anett Kontaveit decided to be a witch for this Halloween as she took to Instagram to reveal her Halloween outfit. On Saturday, Kontaveit posted several selfies, showing her dressed in a full black outfit. Also, Kontaveit bought an all-black witch hat for the occasion.

“You are next,” was written on one mirror which Kontaveit used for a selfie.

Kontaveit ended her season two weeks ago

Kontaveit last played in early October, in Ostrava.

In her Ostrava opener, Kontaveit was forced to retire to Tereza Martincova. After Ostrava, Kontaveit was scheduled to compete at the WTA 1000 event in Guadalajara. But since Kontaveit didn’t want to risk further injuring her back, she decided to withdraw from Guadalajara and focus on recovering for the 2023 season.

“Hiii guys! Unfortunately I won’t be able to play in Guadalajara this year as my back is still hurting since Ostrava. I really hope to come back to Mexico next year as I have so many good memories of my time there!

This means that it is the end of my 2022 season. This year has had absolutely everything. One of the hardest and happiest moments in my career and they all happen so we can learn from them and come out stronger on the other end.

Can’t wait to see you all again in 2023! And I am very very grateful for everyone’s continuous support. Take care! Anett,” Kontaveit announced two weeks ago. This year, Kontaveit went 29-16. In February, Kontaveit won St.

Petersburg while she ended runner-up in Doha. Kontaveit was then hit by COVID-19 and experienced a drop in her form. In July, Kontaveit ended runner-up in Hamburg, which was her first notable run since February. Earlier this month, Kontaveit lost the Tallinn final, pushing her WTA finals record in 2022 to 1-3.

Kontaveit did have some notable results this year, but not on the biggest stage. In four Grand Slams played this year, Kontaveit didn’t manage to make it past the second round on any occasion.
