The US hard-court swing heats up this week with ATP Tour and WTA events in Washington, D.C., San Jose, California and Los Cabos, Mexico, respectably.

The Citi Open in Washington will feature a duel men’s and women’s event highlighted by Andrey Rublev, Andy Murray, Emma Raducanu, Venus Williams and Nick Kyrgios. The Nation’s Capital will also highlight the likes of home-country favourites Jessica Pegula, Sloane Stephens, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe.

All eyes will be on Kyrgios this week as he makes his return to singles action following a finals appearance at Wimbledon. The talented and charismatic Australian continues to be the talk of the tennis world wherever he plays. The 27-year-old faces local favourite Marcos Giron in round one.

Kyrgios recently won the doubles trophy in Atlanta with his Australian partner Thanasi Kokkinakis. The pair also captured the Australian Open in January.

For this week’s events, sports betting sites Ontario will host great odds and information on all the action.

Over in San Jose, a star-studded field will include Maria Sakkari, Ons Jabeur, Bianca Andresscu, Amanda Anisamova, Karolina Pliskova, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, and Paula Badosa.

The 250 level event, along with the Citi Open in Washington, serve as major warm ups for next week’s National Bank Open in Toronto, Canada.

Elsewhere, world No. 1 Daniil Medvedev will be back in action for the first time since playing the Mallorca Open in Spain. The top seed and reigning US Open winner will be adamant in pouring in great results throughout the week in Los Cabos.

The top seed will also be hoping to claim his first title of the 2022 season.

Always a favourite stop of Tour for Medvedev, the 13-time winner on the ATP Tour will have to fend off the heat and the likes of Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, Cameron Norrie and recent Atlanta doubles winner Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Medvedev, who always plays very well during this part of the year, will be one of the favourites heading into this month’s US Open in New York City.

Recent Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic, Australian and French Open champion Rafael Nadal, Spanish upstart Carlos Alcaraz and Italian youngster Jannik Sinner round out the favourites for the title in NYC.

On the women’s side, look for 23-time Major winner Serena Williams to see her first action on the hard-courts next week in Toronto, while world No. 1 and reigning French Open winner Iga Swiatek will lead the field in Canada next week.
