Novak Djokovic won the Wimbledon title a few days ago, thus reaching 21 Grand Slam titles and beating great rival Roger Federer, who is still at 20. The Serbian champion has lived through a troubled year so far, he has not had the opportunity to participate in the Australian Open and there is a strong possibility of an absence even at the US Open and in general in all American tournaments.
While Novak Djokovic is enjoying his holidays and having fun with capoeira, his coach, former tennis champion Goran Ivanisevic, is present at the Umag tournament and has given an interesting interview to the Croatian media.
He explained: “It was a difficult and sad year, which began with the catastrophe in Australia. I also think that the ATP’s decision not to concede points in the last Wimbledon is totally wrong and indeed ridiculous.”
Ivanisevic has been collaborating with Nole for some time, in general since the distant 2019. Regarding Wimbledon, Goran clarified: “I never imagined that I would have won more Grand Slam titles as a coach than as a tennis player.
Also I believe Djokovic will win more Grand Slam titles. His goal is to play and win, but it is essential that he is allowed to compete.”

Answering the various questions, Goran Ivanisevic also talked about the possibility that Nole will participate in the US Open, joked about it and made it clear that he is not very optimistic about the participation of the Serbian champion: “Djokovic at the US Open 2022? I am more optimistic about the possibility of winning.

Finally on the Slam fight Goran told: “Even before training Nole, I made it clear that in the end Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will have more Grand Slams than Roger Federer. If they are healthy there is no chance for anyone.”
