The JP McManus Pro-Am with Tiger Woods

After retiring (due to pain in his operated right leg) at the end of the third round of the PGA Championship and missing the US Open, Tiger Woods prepares to return to the field. On 4 and 5 July the Californian champion will be among the protagonists of the JP McManus Pro-Am which will be played in Ireland, at Adare Manor GC, where the 46th edition of the Ryder Cup will be staged in 2027.

In Limerick, waiting for “The Big Cat” a test bench towards The Open, the fourth male Major of 2022 scheduled from 14 to 17 July in Saint Andrews, on the historic route of the Old Course.

In Ireland, for the benefit show of JP McManus Pro-Am (hosted by John Patrick McManus, Irish businessman, owner of racehorses and one of the main majority shareholders of Manchester United until 2005), many will be competing other champions of the green.

From Scottie Scheffler, world number 1, to Matthew Fitzpatrick, who recently won the US Open. From Jon Rahm, to Collin Morikawa, from Justin Thomas to Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and many others. Celebrities will also be on the field such as, among others, Kenny Dalglish, Niall Horan, Jamie Dornan, Bill Murray, Andriy Schevchenko, John Terry and Harry Redknapp.

In April 2019, at the age of 43, he achieved in Augusta the feat of winning a 5th Masters and his 15th career major title, eleven years after his last major victory1,2.

He was decorated on May 6, 2019 by Donald Trump with the highest American civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In March 2022, he was inducted into the Golf3 Hall of Fame.
