Nick Kyrgios faces a huge Wimbledon fine after admitting he spat towards a spectator following his thrilling first round victory over Britain’s Paul Jubb.
The controversial Aussie also confirmed he called a female line judge a ‘snitch’ and insisted some officials are too old to do their jobs properly.
Kyrgios, who reckons he has paid financial sanctions of half a million pounds for bad behaviour during his career, was unrepentant for his actions and for his verbal attacks during and after the five-set win over Jubb.
Asked if he deliberately spat in a certain direction, he replied: “Of one of the people disrespecting me. Yes.
“Yes. I would not be doing that to someone who was supporting me. Someone just yelled out I was shit in the crowd today. Is that normal?”

And when asked if he regretted calling a female line judge a ’smith’, Kyrgios said: “No. Why? That’s what she did. I didn’t do anything and she went to the umpire and told her something that I didn’t say. That’s called whistleblowing.”
Kyrgios also received a warning for deliberately blasting a ball out of Court Three in anger. The Australian eventually got past Jubb – ranked 219th in the world – by winning the final set 7-5.
And the 22-year-old from Hull refused to say he had been distracted by Kyrgios’s antics. He said: “I didn’t pay attention to any of that so I can’t really remember what he was ranting about.”
An All England Club spokesperson said: “The match Chair Umpire would notify the Referee’s Office of any concerns, the Referee’s Office in consultation with the Grand Slam supervisor will decide on any fines which will then be issued.
The Referee’s Office would also review transcripts from press conferences and again, in consultation with the Grand Slam supervisor, will decide on any fines which will then be issued.”
