Diego Schwartzman and Pedro Martinez took part in the Eastbourne ATP 250 tournament this week. Both were eliminated in the round of 16 by two English players. Various valuables were stolen, including credit cards and passports.

“Hello everyone! I tell you that unfortunately this Sunday, at the Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne, a lot of things were stolen from me, including my passport, credit cards and various others.
Thanks to everyone who worried and asked me if I needed anything,” wrote Schwartzman on his Twitter account. Martinez, for his part, expressed all his regret for the sad story. In fact, the Spaniard has not found a watch of inestimable sentimental value.
“It was a watch, I had already had it for a year and a half. I bought it when I reached the third round at Roland Garros for the first time. It was sentimental, yes, because it came from there. But what can I do? A watch was stolen from my room and Schwartzman had some items stolen from him as well.
I had a bad night, that’s the truth, I haven’t slept. It was difficult to prepare for the game, but I just tried to concentrate on the game.” Schwartzman and Martinez will end the season on grass at Wimbledon, where they will try to move beyond the third round for the first time in their careers.
