The summer transfer window is open and Tottenham are continuing their early recruitment drive as Brighton’s Yves Bissouma heads for a medical before completing a £25m move, Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence is said to be keen on a move as part of Antonio Conte’s rebuild along with Richarlison, Christian Eriksen and Arsenal target Raphinha.

Talking of the Gunners, they are yet to sign a first-team player, although Man City’s Gabriel Jesus remains a key target to solve their forward problems. Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to be linked with Ousmane Dembele but may face a hitch in their deal to sign Jules Kounde.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez in a deal with could reach £85million and Manchester United continue to push for their first signing of the Erik ten Hag eta, with Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen heavily linked. West Ham are closing in on Nayef Aguerd as their first summer deal.

Jesus ‘wants to join Arsenal’

Gabriel Jesus is ready to turn his back on Champions League football and sign for Arsenal.

That’s according to Kevin Campbell, who told Highbury Squad: “Jesus can go and play Champions League football. But he wants to come to Arsenal.

“One, because he knows the manager, two, because he knows the system and three, which is the most important thing, he wants to be the main man.”

Spurs line up Destiny

Sky Sports Italia report on a meeting between Tottenham transfer chief Fabio Paratici and Destiny Udogie’s agents in recent days.

The Udinese winger, 19, is said to be a target for Spurs and Juventus with Udogie’s camp attempting to lower his price tag to push through a deal.

Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez on a deal potentially worth a club-record £85illion.

The striker arrives from Benfica in a deal worth an initial £65m, with very achievable add-ons that could take the deal to £85m. Manchester United had made Nunez one of their key targets but the Reds were in pole position after firming up their interest.

Nunez will wear the no27 shirt number and has signed a six-year deal.

“I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Liverpool. It’s a massive club,” Nunez said.
