After his team’s new defeat on Sunday against West Ham (2-1), Everton coach Franck Lampard said he still believed in keeping the Toffees. The English coach and his men have won only one of their last six league matches and they flirt dangerously with the red zone, currently in 17th place with only three points ahead of 18th. “We deserved at least one point from the game in terms of general play. It was an afternoon when several circumstances took us to task. We have 10 games left so if we continue on this path, things will turn in our favor and everything will be fine. I take that away from the game.”explained Lampard after the meeting.

Everton will play a decisive match in the maintenance race on Wednesday evening against Burnley (19th). A meeting awaited by the coach of the Toffees who hopes to return to success. “No one expects an easy game at Burnley. The key is to continue with the same character and application as today and to continue to work. From what I know of football, when things go against you, the only way to make it better is to keep doing good things, working and then things turn around.”said the former Chelsea manager.
